Hi Kevin,

1. Can you please remove EXIT and put RAISE AGAIN statement? Idea here is to show the error message until user change the value.
2. Have you tried using I_STEP = 3?

Try these, looks like I_STEP = 3 might help us. Meanwhile I'll check with ABAP expert on this.
