I would suggest you first anlyse your data in anlyazer.
open query -> open your infoprovider drill down with specific charecteristic and see the totals.
same can be achived using aggregation with some charecterstic as reference.
plese check once what agrregation you mentioned in quer and same do in analyzer for infoprovider data then you come to know why this result is coming that way.
