Return from Plant to Store

Dear All,

i have search forum but can't come to solution to my client scenario.

 

Scenario:

A spare part/Tool is issued to Cost center, After 8 month they want to replace it with the new one, After replacing that material with new one, they come to know that old spare part material still in good condition and they want to store it on half price in store. I know when ever material is issued to cost center it consumed the very next moment. what i think is the spare part cost is charge already charged to expense a/c in P/L. than how to again receipt to that already charged material into stock.

Question is how to handle this material which is received after 8 month. and what is the Standard process upon which store would receive this material to store other than uploading it into stock.
